I was looking at the website and it looks like you folks have a lot of options, which is great. However, after pricing some stuff out I hit a bit of a snag. Since I am in North Carolina also, I have to pay NC Tax of about $23 (depending on exactly what upper I choose), which can't be helped. However, the shipping charge is a minimum of $23 also, together that adds almost $50 to a complete upper. That makes it significantly cheaper to order a Del-ton upper from Midway, where I pay no tax and UPS "Basic" shipping is about $9. Is there any way to get a shipping method that is less expensive, especially for a shipment that isn't even leaving the state? I'd much rather order directly from Del-ton, but I can't get past spending $50 or so extra to do so. Thanks!

Well, there is nothing we can do about taxes. Technically, you are suppose to claim internet purchases on your taxes every year. As far as the shipping, you can always pick it up. Depending on the package weight, insurance amount, and your delivery address, our website pings UPS rates throughout the day. Some companies have a set price in shipping, we do not. If you want to pick it up here, you can. Just type it in your order comments.

Yeah, but I don't keep track of my internet purchases, so I use the amount that the state says I should claim based on my income level. The powers that be in Raleigh are so bad with money I don't see any reason to keep track of online purchases all year so that they can tax me on them, especially since they say I can claim a specific amount they decide (its usually about $20 IIRC) if I don't keep track. I don't mind paying the sales tax, I know that can't be helped for an in-state purchase. Quoted:

Laura I'll probably end up doing a local pickup, but it will have to be when I am down that way anyway. Do you folks have stuff in stock, like a store front? That might give me an excuse for a road trip. |
I don't think they have the issue fixed. I just looked to order a 20 in rifle kit and an extra MBUS rear site to Missouri and shipping is $42.32, through UPS. That works out to about $7.00 a pound, WOW. However if I remove the MBUS it lowers shipping to $28.13. It really costs an additional 14.19 to ship a rear sight?
