I had worked up to 41gr of the H4895 using the SBS brass but I had 1 blown primer. This load shot very good groups and I had an average chrony of 2608 ft/s 18" bbl. but I am at 2100 ft altitude and it is warm out here in the Desert SW. I also had a problem with the SBS brass and RE-15 powder.

I am going to go shoot tomorrow morning to chronograph and see how they shoot, I 'll post the results.

I cannot stress enough how much I love this trigger. The guys at the range who had Geissele triggers on their rifles can also feel the difference and loved it.

I have one in my 300 BLK, but I want an MBT-A, MBAT, or whatever you want to call it (adjustable) so I can take out that skinny ass bow (AR-GOLD) out of my tOBR 7.62.

Mark, an adjustable version of the MBT that I can adjust down to 6 ~ 8 ozs on the second stage. The Larue Tactical tOBR's are Precision Rifles! My tOBR is a Precision Rifle and as such, I want/need a lighter second stage pull. 1.5 ~ 2.0 lbs is a little heavy for me on a Precision Rifle.

Installed two MBTs on two rifles I just finished assembling.  I have to admit I'll need to get used to the triggers, they are so dang crisp compared to others that I've used that they break sooner than I'm accustomed.

Also installed two LaRue barrels in said rifles and two complete sets of LaRue polymer in said rifles

Hmmm curious as well. I currently have them installed on my Geissele because I had pins walking bad but would like to know. Can't wait to try it out and post in here again.

My question wasn't if they'd fit or not but if they were ok to use.  As in - Geissele says not to use them with their triggers.

Good reason not to own Geissele triggers IMHO......

Although I may get slammed, I'm messing with the MBT trigger and AR gold at the same time. My critique on the MBT is that the once you feel the reset, the trigger is back at the first stage. Whereas the AR gold stays in the second stage after the trigger resets and I can quickly engage. Trigger weight feels the same although I do love the thick curves of the MBT. All in all I can't complain with the discount price I got it at but I would jump all over this trigger if it had the same reset properties as AR Gold. On another note do you guys have the ability to pull the trigger back a little when the weapon is on safe with the MBT?

“I don't know how I will be able to use a rifle with a standard mil-spec trigger ever again.  Easy install.  Crisp, consistent break.  The width and shape of the trigger surface is excellent (feel is wider.)”

“Impressive trigger.  Above and beyond what was expected.  Worth the money and will buy more.”

You might as well try to forget it and just be surprised when it shows up.  It'll probably take at least 60 days.  My Form 4 will probably be approved before I get my trigger.

Odd, made of S7 tool steel that feels weirdly strong

I'm sorry if this question has already been asked, I've searched around but not had any luck finding an answer.

My question is, Is the MBT going to be too light for carbine course work? All of the reviews I've come across seem to use it as a precision trigger.

Thanks!

The MBT includes an extra spring if you want a bit heavier trigger pull.

Either way, it'll be perfect for a carbine course.

The 2 MBT's I ordered showed up today. I installed one of em into my seekins rifle. Being a total noob in the aftermarket trigger game I'm not one to give a real world gods honest review other than it feels a whole lot better than whatever I had in the lower.

That said, the second trigger will be going out in the mail Monday to my arfcom bbm buddy that has all sorts of premium triggers and has no allegiance to any one company. He just likes nice stuff and will tell it how it is.

Oh, and btw thanks for the paint can topper too, I'll be using that sucker here when it warms up.

Moved from improper thread...

Installed my LaRue last weekend to complete a build.  Up until now I've had G2S triggers.  They are in 2 of my rifles and I had a 3rd ready to go until I decided to try this MBT2S.  The LaRue was breaking more consistently with my trigger gauge with less variance between pulls.  I also prefer its takeup in the first stage when compared side-by-side.  Didn't get a lot of range time with it, but the little I had it instilled confidence and color me impressed. Nothing against the Geissele and somebody will probably say the opposite, they're both good triggers but I've since sold the 3rd Geissele to a buddy and ordered/committed to a second LaRue in a future build for whatever that's worth.  I don't think I'm going to go as far as yanking the G2S out of the two builds with them already installed, but I am giving the nod to the LaRue for any foreseeable builds when they're priced in the same ballpark.  Now if I could only find a way to fund that PredatOBR it would come with a free MBT2S.  I guess I've drank the Kool-Aid to spend the $$$ on the triggers, we're not quite there on the rifles yet.
Nobody does anything great without having their heart into it.

My PredatOBR came with an MBT, and in my SWAG I received an extra spring or with it can someone tell me what that's for or is it just literally extra/spare parts?  I had to ask about the extra red buffer spring too which is really cool to think these rifles are so in tune that you should swap that out with a higher grain round.  Awesome!

Mine arrived this afternoon. I eagerly installed it into my Strike Industries Trigger Jig and disappointingly found that I'd received a dud

Mine is only operating as a single-stage trigger... the 1st stage never makes contact and there is a consistent 1mm gap between the hook&sear. The trigger is only holding and releasing the hammer via the 2nd stage. (Mil-spec triggers work just fine in the jig).

I've already submitted my details to the LaRue return form on the website.

On the plus side - I did receive some goodies with it. (Some more Dillo-Dust; a Beverage Entry Tool; 3x mini copies of the constitution; A couple of bumper stickers; and a Battlefield Mixer).

ALSO - something I noticed that might or might not be intentional in the design... there is a thin gap (crack?) directly above the disconnector retaining pin on both sides. Possibly a running change in manufacture so that the pin gets some lubrication, but may have cracked because there was not enough metal between the pin's hole and the upper surface of the trigger bar.?? LaRue will probably know the answer to this question straight away.

Not sure what you mean by "carbine course work", but I can tell you I put an MBT through a week long intensive carbine CQB course recently, where we expended a LOT of ammo, and it was spot on for that mission.  As a result, I would not exclusively put the MBT in a "precision" trigger category.  I love it. An MBT now rides in my carbine that sees the two way range.

I found my question about the slot above the disconnector regaining pin on page 6 of this thread... Others have it as well and is suspected to be a change from milling/drilling the pin hole to cutting it with wire EDM (the slot is the entry and exit point of the cutting wire).

The problem of my trigger & hammer never making contact in the 1st stage is unrelated of course.

The extra spring is if you want a heavier trigger pull. It's slightly thicker than the default one if you compare them side-by-side.
