Yes they will have issues on a gas block. Only run them on free-float rails.

Sure you could do that, but very rarely do you see anyone chop down a front sight base or install a low pro gas block that can even accept a non free float handguard....and then proceed to install flips on it.

Good, we're in agreement, b/c I see it quite often.  The point being to clarify for the OP that they can be run on non-free-float or free-float rails, but shouldn't be run on gas blocks.

The reason you wouldn't want to run a front sight on non free float rails is because some non free float rails are prone to movement which will throw off your zero.
