I've heard that handloads do not do very will in semi-auto or full-auto weapons.  However, with the price of ammo going through the roof, I'm not about to bust my bank in buying brand new .223 or 5.56 rounds.  For that reason, as well as the fun involved, I've looked into handloading.  I've got an 8mm I'd like to handload for, as well as a .300 RUM.  But, I'm really interested in starting out with 5.56.

Steve - if I handload 5.56 appropriately, will I see no problem in your rifles?

Thanks,

Boot.

You shouldn't see any problems, but you do need to read your warranty information, as the use of handloads wil void yourwarranty (standard throughout the industry).  While I wouldn't anticipate any issues, you want to weigh the plusses and minuses.
