Upon receiving this I noticed tooling marks and finish missing in the barrel extension. What should I do as this does not look right for a 1300$ upper. Functions fine.

It may be hard chromed, but it just looks like it has no finish. Not uncommon.

Is this the nitride barrel? Or black oxide/chrome lined barrel?

Finish looks to be missing. Can see bare metal. What’s up with the groove cut halfway around the BE? It has finish over it so it was like that before coating. Never seen that before.

They will definitely be the ones to help you rather than us sitting here contemplating what is or isn’t the problem.

Finish inconsistency with chrome lined barrels though is typical. The tooling marks are not.
