Not yet finished Quarantine/2013 panic build: Attached File Bought myself a DDM4V7 upper this past week and a BCM Gunfighter Mod 1 SOCOM stock kit to go on the stripped Aero Precision lower I've had lying around with an LPK and MIAD since the 2013 panic. Never had the spare scratch to build it up until now (and the clear direction that VA is headed has necessitated I get it built ASAP). Waiting on a Trijicon MRO and LaRue mount I ordered last night. I'll pick up a weapon light, BUIS, and a few other odds and ends as what I want comes back in stock from online retailers over time. I can rely on the TLR-1 I've got for the time being once I've got an optic so I can make this my "bump in the night" gun. So far, the fit and finish of the new lower is great and I'm really looking forward to putting some rounds through it. |

For my first major clone project, I've cloned the Daniel Defense M4A1 used by Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) in "Sicario" and "Sicario: Day of the Soldado". Chose this as my clone project because I'm a huge fan of those movies, and it was the appearance of the DDM4 in those movies that got me interested in Daniel Defense and the SOPMOD Block II rifles. Here's my clone: .jpg) .jpg) .jpg) Pics of the movie gun for comparison (all from the sequel, "Day of the Soldado", since it didn't get much use in the first film):      What is needed to clone the “Sicario” rifle: 1. EOTech 553 (FDE) 2. Surefire M720V RAID (black) 3. Troy dual-aperture flip-up back-up iron sights 4. KAC “broom handle”-style vertical grip *NOTE: I used a DD vert grip instead, just because I already had it on the gun. 5. Magpul ladder rail covers (FDE) Big thanks to two ARFCOM members for helping me complete this build: Dizkoboro for the EOTech, and BobRoberts for the Surefire! |

 Brownells' SOCOM stripped upper (mid) is great, near clone right out of the box aside from the DD CHF SOCOM barrel vs Colt or FN. No DD markings on left side of receiver and uses standard dust cover, not their plastic ones. |

Curious on accuracy and how the gas port seems. |

Sold my v5LW upper and got this to replace it, optics planet 14.5” pinned, milspec brown 13” mfr mlok. Really need to try and get a fde Elcan now Attached File |
