Is the time right yet? Can’t find surplus mags anymore. DSA mags aren’t any good. Moses were supposedly good, but dunno if they even exist anymore. There’s not gonna be a huge market, but should be enough to make money on the venture, now that there’s no cheap mags. Or is it just that there’s more patterns than are worth the hassle of trying to get one size fit all? |
| Unfortunately, there are multiple challenges. One is numbers...just not enough FALs being produced, although I do like the rifles and have several. The other is room. The original magazine and magwell design don't leave enough room for a truly robust polymer magazine and still allowing a perfect round stack. |

There are currently (or very recently) many countries using the G36 and AUGs and have money. Those still using the FAL as a standard issue rifle are second and third world countries that....have less money. Plus, the geometry is too thin, like MP5s. The MP5 drum is a single stack only feeding from one side in the feed tower. |
