Recently I heard about encoding receivers. Is this a valid question? How does it work and why are so many manufacturers waiting for their parts to be encoded? Has the gun ban already started?

I have not heard nor been approached with doing any encoding on anything and do not have any plans on doing so until it is mandated that we are required.
