The date at the bottom of the page says 2010, so well before the M5 existed. As you said though, it uses the same barrel nut, so I'd use the same torque spec unless you manage to get another number from Colt or maybe Specialized Armament. 60 ft/lb is well within the spec for TDP barrel nuts and 50-60 pretty common for nuts from companies like DD or SOLGW, so it's not some outlandish number. For handguard screws, 25-40 in/lb seems to be common for other rails. I'd probably go on the low end and maybe use Vibratite VC-3 if the screws starting backing out. Tig's CM118 link is working btw. |

I would agree with all of the above. It may be worth shooting an email to Ken @ SA to see what he says, I'd be guessing if I said either way regarding him answering. Colt's website is terrible. Many manuals are not visible. They have a manual for the new Python but not the Anaconda. I called Colt years ago and asked if they could email the Anaconda manual. Instead they mailed me a hard copy. That was nice but how the heck do they not have an electronic copy on file? This was like 4 years ago! |
