This has happened to me several times, so I know it's not a fluke. When I apply the "Bryanfreakinrocks" code several things happen. The website becomes very slow to respond, the quantities in my cart change (seemingly always to the same quantity for a specific item), and when I checkout the subtotal and shipping amounts are way off. These things only happen when the code is applied.

Have you had reports of problems from anyone else?

it hasn't on our end of testing but hopefully some more customers will chime in and let us know

I tested something in the cart to check to see if it was discount eligible (yeah, I'm too lazy to look at the list)  It slowed waaaaay down on me too.  I didn't place a order, just checking prices, but it did slow down when I submitted the code.....

It locked up my browser when I tried it once a while back.

Edit.   Running newest version of Firefox if it matters.

Took approximately 67 seconds from the time I hit "apply" to the time it came back and gave me the discount.

Didn't notice any quantity issues but I only had 1 item in there.

Didn't buy, just testing.  MMM, my software testing even follows me to ARFcom! lol

I also encountered this problem. Quantity and slowness issues.

I also saw the quantity change to 3 from 1 and the website slowed to a crawl.  I was able to see three plays in the VA Tech game before the website came back.  Eventually emptied the cart, closed Firefox, then reopened Firefox and AIMSurplus.com and ordered without the code and all seemed normal then.

The discount is probably a coding thing that limits it to 1 per.

The slowness is on multiple machines.  Tried from 3 of my work machines and my home machine.  Averages about 65 seconds for the code to apply.

I'd bet that it's a slow database query running in the background that is holding things up but that's just speculation.

Just some more info for your web design guys, Bryan.

Just tried it on my cart, here's what I got, cut and paste:

Cart Totals
Subtotal: $548.50
Promotion Code:**

Limit one Promotion Code per order.

its true

   * Code is invalid

I'm on a T1 connection.  Took all of a half a second to tell me that I'm not getting a discount.  So much for the 2 cases of ammo and a bunch of mags I was ordering.
