Do the current 7.62x39 Colt rifles use a thin-walled bolt, or have they made improvements?

The two recent production Colt 7.62x39 rifles that I've purchased appear to have the same thinner walled bolts that they've used in the past. That said, I've had zero issues with them.

Although the bolt was thinner to accommodate the bigger rim, I thought the problem was using cheap steel case ammo, not the bolt itself.

I called Colt CS awhile back and asked to purchase and or information on the source of the 7.62 bolt and was told they don't sell small parts, my new production CR6762 has been 100% with steel and brass cased.

I'm not sure if this the old ones had it or if it's an improvement, but the Colt bolt faces have a gutter around the edge. In the picture below, a Windham bolt is on the left and a new Colt bolt is on the right.
