I should be picking up my M4SD-K in a couple of days.I came with a Griffin Hammer comp, but I want to use this on multiple weapons occasionally.
Anyone have experience of which "A2 types" definitely work with this suppressor? |
| Only experience I have is with A2's and BCM comp's, all of my A2's worked fine and only 1 of 3 BCM comp's worked of the 2 that didn't my M4SDK wouldn't go on it was like the OD of the BCM comp was to large, but I have to say that the Griffin muzzle devices do fit the best. |

The bore in the suppressor is .8635-.8645" ID, the gate requires the A2 rear groove be .124-.128" wide. The mount was designed to fit USGI A2's on government contract guns when we made the mount. At that time, 11 AR brands on the market were compatible, and shortly afterward, companies making the A2's began using 3mm (.118") grooving tools to make the A2 grooves. This rendered a lot of mounts incompatible.
We do make really nice mounts that fit the product so that's the good news. The A2 is an average flash suppressor, and a crappy muzzle control device. |

I'm wondering the same thing. Will an $8 Aimsurplus A2 mount work? how would I know if its truly "NATO" spec? Also, what if I want to pin and weld an extended device to meet 16" OAL req? Would something like an extended Daniel Defense flash hider or BCM extended flash hider work? I have a similar thread posted in the silencer section.
