Okay, I'm back from the range. My initial thoughts are very positive, the rifle is rock solid and a quality build. It shot smoothly and I'd say softer than my 7.62. I am going to remove the carbine length buffer (etc.) and replace with an adjustable rifle length system. I just couldn't get as comfortable behind the .260 as I am behind my 7.62 tOBR that has a Magpul PRS. I also could tell that I've not been behind a rifle for months, it showed in MY performance, not the rifle's. I should have been able to get more out of her, but being rusty didn't help. I had FGGM and Prime .260 ammo.
At the Izaak Walton League range a few miles from the house and at my usual spot. The people at the range packed up just as I arrived so for a short time I was alone! I was going to wear the MBT hat, but it was cold, windy and snowing so I had to differ to the armadillo watch cap:

I had used the Leupold Zero Point bore site thing but was not sure how close I was due to the front of the TQ brake having ridges. I shot the first sighters at 50 yards to make sure I was close. Good thing as I wasn't as close as I had hoped: 
The first rounds, FGMM: 
First shots were very promising. The OnTarget adjusts the 50 yards to a true MOA. The top group is the first shots, then two more groups to get my windage : 
I made adjustments and just when I was going out to 100, we had a small snow squall: 
When I went to 100 three more shooters showed up, so the tranquility of shooting alone and being able to check groups was over! The range is co-located with the pistol range, so every time someone wants to check a target both rifle and pistol have to go cold. It really is a pain to get in a rhythm only to have someone whining wanting to check their target. [/rant off] 
I also chrono'd using the Magnetospeed V3 both unsuppressed and suppressed: 
I used the TQ to warm up my hands today. 
This is what I was referring to about being rusty. Here's the first group with the Prime. It started great, but I threw the 3rd round badly. I think my bipod moved just as I squeezed it off; it could have been so much better! 
Same problem with the FGMM, 3rd shot fail!

Here's the Berger 130gr 260 page, using the start load for H4350 we're pretty close. 
I'm convinced I could have had bug holes with the Prime if I did my part. They list 2900fps out of a 24" barrel and I was getting 2760fps out of the 22" LaRue. Add 50fps per inch of barrel and we're just a bit short.

Here are some pictures from cleaning after yesterday's range trip where I fired 75rds. I have a cheap $20 bore cam and took some pics, but I think I need something with a shorter focal plane so I can get better clarity.
I've got some cleaning to do: 
75 rounds but while the BCG and bolt were dirty, there was no caked carbon, a toothbrush cleaned it well. 
Guess we'll always know where this was made.

Cleaned the mags today, the new mag comes apart just by taking one screw out of the baseplate. These are very sturdy and well made, but pretty dirty after a day on the range.
Looks like the brass was hammering the deflector: 
I decided to move to a PRS so I removed the carbine tube and buffer and replaced them with the PRS, which uses the A2 buffer tube:

Finished rifle in FDE: 
I need to get back to the range to re-zero with the Prime since it's a much lighter bullet and probably closer to what I'll be routinely shooting. Today is guest day at the range so it's always "sporty." I also have to travel again to GA and Japan, so I need you guys to keep the thread going with your range reports, loads, etc. |

I agree with your earlier post about needing a rifle length butt stock. I have a Magpul PRS on one of my tOBRs and find it easier for precision rifle shooting than an adjustable carbine stock. I think I will try the new PRS that fits on carbine buffer tubes. That way I can use it on multiple rifles. |

Today is guest day at the range so it's always "sporty." I also have to travel again to GA and Japan, so I need you guys to keep the thread going with your range reports, loads, etc. Hi, looking forward to updates with the JP silent capture setup ... Looking to do a similar setup and wondered if the silent capture spring would cause any issues with the Larue suppressed. Great pics! |

No, since I was moving to the PRS with the A2 length buffer tube, the rifle isn't a SBR and it has the ability to switch from suppressed to unsuppressed, I thought the normal weight would work. If not, I still have two different "heavier" springs to test before I'd have to move heavier. YMMV if you stay with the carbine length buffer system and especially considering Mark ships these with the H2. |

ETA, especially with the MV differences you saw. I may not be able to do that until I get back from travel. However, all the rounds were very neatly piled at the 1-2 o'clock and about five feet from the rifle (I should have taken a picture). Given the wear on the deflector, I suspect they were hitting it hard and bouncing to their final resting position. ETA - I fired the rifle with no issues using the unsuppressed setting. I fired using the suppressed setting but with no suppressor. The rifle would not fully cycle on the unsuppressed setting with no suppressor, it would eject the fired round and strip the next round, but it would not fully engage the rim and the bolt over-rode the cartridge and caused a failure to feed. I fired the rifle with a suppressor and on the suppressed setting with no issues. |

FDE Magpul PRS Gen 3 inbound. Brownells had them marked down and free shipping on orders over $99.
Due to free shipping not being FedEx an updated range report for the .260 with the PRS installed will probably be delayed until the weekend after next. 
Plus I have to take a checkride on Friday and will not get home until o dark 30 Saturday morning.
