Edited to reflect 1 to 2000. You already know what the goods are for this the 6th " Until Hell Freezes Over" LaRue Stealth Upper (and more) Give-away ... The caveat ?? No purchase is required, but you gotta have a star and be a Team Member ... ... or non-Team Members must send (by First Class Mail) your number , along with your handwritten copy (in red ink) of the Constitution of These United States. What's the prize gonna include ??? <snip> old prize list Here are the rules ... and we reserve the right to add to them as prudence dictates ... Bloencustoms threw this rules list together for us ... thanks again BC. Contest rules: 1: Only Team Members are eligible, or see above. 2: Select a number from 1 to 2,000, and post only that number. 3: Only one post per person. 4: Posting more than once = disqualification. 5: Posting anything more than a number = disqualification 6: Editing your post = disqualification. 7.) Font, color, or size matters not. In the event more than one person selects the same number, the random number generator will select a number from a pool equaling the number of duplicate posts. For example: If 3 members select the same number, the generator will be asked to select a number from 1 to 3. If the number is 2, the second person to post wins. If the number is 1, the first person to post wins. In the event the generator selects a number that was not picked by a member, the generator will select another number, until it lands on a number that was picked by one or more members. And don't bitch at us, but for various State Dept. regs and their ITAR reasons, we will not pick nor ship to someone outside the U.S. So, we won't be sending goods to a winner OCONUS, say with a Hong Kong address. We love all you foreign ARFcommers, but at the same time, we hate the look of the inside of a prison. So, without further ado ... I suggest you closely follow the instructions or Mr. mnd will ferret you out and sling your sorry butt over the side. it's been done a few times I believe. And it has to be hand written each time you submit it. I bought a membership for a guy that did this, I razzed him a little about it being easier to just spend 24.00 his response was it was a great refreasher and learning experience

I know it is the only way I am ever going to be able to get the LaRue upper of my dreams. I take the time every month to review the report to make sure that I don't cut someone else's chances at winning their dream upper. Well it happened to me this month. Someone else picked the same number I did. Knowing that the odds of me winning this month have been cut in half. 1 in 2000 is pretty good odds, but now add the 2nd RNG at 50-50... Maybe next month will be my month, or maybe I could get extremely lucky and win the lottery or fortunate enough to get a regular job with a paycheck. |
| You're probably not going to like this but I have been using the same number for a very long time. Only recently has someone started using the same number. I'm not going to change mine and am not going to come unglued about someone hijacking it. Some Team members don't have access to a computer when the contest starts. What do they do, keep getting shut out of their personal lucky number? You guys are being unreasonable, IMO. |

Too lazy to check or too selfish to adapt? That's whey the problem starts. I don't mind bucking the odds, it's a lottery after all, it's the stupid that the problem. Duping makes the odds against you even worse than having your own discreet number. It's in your own best interest. Failing to see that explains a lot about the problems we have in this world. And yes, I know I'm being hyperbolic. That's part of the fun. |

Let us also keep in mind that while MND's report is excellent beyond words, it is not perfect. I have checked numbers on the report before, found them to be "open" only to post it and dupe someone. While I think it's courteous to check the report before posting, it's ML's contest and he can do whatever the hell he wants, in spite of our whining. If he wanted to be "fair" instead of punishing dupers, simply randomly assign a number to the first X000 valid posts, and randomly pick from that. Shazam, no more whining from herpy derpy dupees about the free contest that ML holds every month out of the goodness of his heart, and the badassedness of his loins.

You are fucking up a great contest that Mark does for all of us, and that is supposed to draw us together and be fun. That be said. None of you rule posters work for LT so shut the fuck up.
