Yep without a doubt.

Ayotte is a "pinch your nose" and vote for her.  I just hope she stands up for how the current Governor held the line with 2A.

Don't bet on it.

She betrayed Trump, her parties nominee for president, not because she disagreed with his policy or ideology, but because he said what she perceived as "mean things" about women...

Do you trust anyone with that kind of decision making process to be a staunch hold the line supporter on anything?

Also, I remember when she was AG in the mid 00s.  She was AGAINST stand your ground passing in NH when the bills were introduced.  (could have been against some other gun bills too, but that's the one I distinctly remember  because I called her about it).

Sununu was always more or less pro gun on most of the issues from what I recall.

Joyce Craig is a classic, ban everything gun, liberal.  She follows the hardcore Democrat playbook that she's been told to follow.  IMO, there is nothing Craig brings to the table that is positive.  Prior to (R) Mayor Ruais, Manchester under Craig was filthy AF.  Trash everywhere downtown and the streets were filthy.  She let the homeless population explode without constraint.  Mayor Ruais is doing a phenomenal job in Manchester, but picking up the pieces after Joyce Craig has been a difficult task.

Kelly Ayotte is a hellava lot better than Joyce Craig.  I can't imagine JC as governor.  This state would be done.

Exactly. We are one democrat majority and governor away from becoming MA north. Joyce Craig was doing campaign events and fund raising with her buddy Maura Healey.

Where would NH be without all of Sununu's vetoes? JC would approve every anti gun and tax raise bill the dems can come up with. Kelly Ayotte would not. It's about survival, not perfection.

It is.

While not finalized yet, we might have picked up two more seats in the Senate too.

EC is still 4/1.

Lord knows what the House is doing.  Another majority there would be nice.

Looks like both Littleton and Berlin went straight R for their reps.

Really wish WMUR's site would update.

I'm waiting on Coos 1 and nobody has found Lancaster's results yet.

I really want a solid House majority this session.  Not a tight one like last.

Looks good for Kelly to have the Senate, General Court and EC.

Nonetheless, what's with the ticket splitting that we're stuck with 2 (D) US Congress-critters? I sort of understand Pappas as an incumbent in that district, but why did people vote for Goodlander who carpet-bagged her way into the Second instead of Lily. Big Washington machine $$$?

I hope Sununu runs against Shaheen in 26.

Rs made a clean sweep in my town, by a healthy margin.  Sally Kelly, a D candidate had paid help from some PAC out of Chicago.  She started posting in our local town FB group about how nice the town was and how she enjoyed meeting people door to door, then casually dropped that she was working for Kelly.  Town FB group members started asking what that meant. Who was paying, etc.  our group moderator then booted her as this was a local group.

I don’t trust Ayotte, even though I voted for her. I  do trust  Craig to act according to her commie nature.

Same on both accounts.

NH Journal article now says that every Coos County House seat is R, so that's super cool.

I pondered that quite a bit today while sitting in a deer blind. All I can think of is that Lily might not have have the money to sustain an extended media blitz. Flatlander pounded us with TV ads the last couple weeks over here in the Communist utopia of Hanover's Upper Valley. Not so much from Lily.

Thousands. Enough to turn college towns.

Our voting registry sucks too. I'm registered to vote in 3 towns, and I see no reason why I couldn't have voted in all of them. I'd bet money that others do exactly that.

Technically they're residents/have established domicile just like any dork stationed in Portsmouth or various recruiting stations around the state.

It's disingenuous for them to call themselves residents and vote locally vs absentee at their 'home', but the law allows it here and in many/likely all 50 states.

What I would like to see is a rehash of a failed bill a couple years ago, the prevented schools from charging out of state tuition to those who called themselves residents/registered to vote.

School admins protested the shit out of that bill during hearings and it was shitcanned.

Start hitting the schools where it matters and maybe the encouragement to vote here will stop.

Also, reasons to not live near schools-this is one of them.

Now that is a bitchin idea. And it seems like, legally, you can't have both situations exist simultaneously. Brilliant, really. How can you vote as a resident but be charged out-of-state non-resident tuition?

I fear that would simply encourage more students to become residents. They'd vote and save thousands of dollars.

My first chance to vote for President was Nixon's second term. I was in school in Maine but dutifully got an absentee ballot from my home state (not Mass) and was probably a rare college student who voted for him instead of McGovern.

I wouldn't have even considered trying to double vote but knew kids who did because the Democrat machine in that Maine city controlled the polls. Things are much more polarized and looser rules now, so it seems anything goes.

We have Ayotte now.
What it boils down to is that Ayotte could take our guns away while Craig "would" take our guns away.
The only time NH liberals believe in god is when they're praying for a school shooting here at home.
That's all it's going to take, one school shooting in our own backyard.
WMUR still brings up the ME shooting and it didn't even involve any school age brat's. ( China Owned Ch 9 )
Who the F cares if it happened in ME rather than WI? ME has nothing to do with NH other than being a few minutes away by bicycle or WI a few hours away by plane. It's 2024 not 1776.
I dealt with Ayotte as AG back when I was being sued by a smelly Concord State Prison inmate. She is pretty solid when It comes to Law Enforcement, Crime.
