Kinda like the legislators who were responsible for the period when Tennessee state law allowed permit holders to keep a loaded rifle or shotgun in their vehicle, but required them to have the chamber empty to prevent accidents? Better to leave them in their ignorance, than risk making them aware that there is something else they will feel a need to restrict. |

VA tried that and while it BARELY failed, it came close enough to passing to see the writing on the wall. Tyranny by any other name is still tyranny. |

All the arguments I've heard against legalizing the carry of long guns... Is the same list of arguments I heard against legalizing the carry of handguns. 1. Dangerous for police. 2. (LAW ABIDING!) People can't be trusted. 3. Open carry scares the children. 4. Blood in the streets. 5. You don't need a (____) to defend yourself. 6. What if a crazy person _____? No new arguments. Same old anti-gun talking points. |
