Hey all. I am going to he in the Milwaukee area for a couple days the week of 8-11-25 What are some good sights to see or visit? And are there any good gun stores in the area or just outside of Milwaukee worth visiting? Especially for older used guns? |

H-D Museum, Milwaukee Art museum, Miwaukee Public Museum, bunch of brewery tours. Gun stores, ones in Waukesha (west of Milwaukee) theres Select Fire Weaponry (they do have C&R stuff), Fletchers (2 stores both with ranges) and if you want to make your credit card cry, Midwest Industries (a site sponsor) is just a few miles west of Waukesha. |

This is the "red light district": "Lincoln Ave. During the day is pretty scarce, but 6th to 19th if they are out. I don't cruise at night but from reading on here it's more active then. National now from 27th to about 19th is it. They will mostly be found around the McDonalds and the little convenience store right across the side street. I've heard a few trannys work that area but haven't seen them myself. National now has been pretty dead. Greenfield is good from 6th to 27th. As I said earlier, I only cruise in the daytime but Greenfield for now has 90% of the action, at least in the daylight hours. They can be out any time, in any weather. My best luck has been from about 7:30 AM to maybe around 11:00 AM, but it just depends on when they need the money." Hit me up by PM for "rules of the road" if you're going to venture there. |

They are the same in that there is a lot of "everything", both good and bad, with much more in Chicago than Milwaukee. "Chicagoland" is pretty much the whole NE corner of Illinois and Kenosha WI has a sizeable population of IL transplants. One can go anywhere in the Milwaukee area within an hour's drive. Not so much in Chicago. IMO, the cities are OK as long as one can leave at the end of the day and go home to somewhere else. I live in the outer fringe, beyond the Milwaukee suburbs. |

AAR (After Action Report)? Assuming you survived. If nothing else, big cities give one an appreciation for "other places". I took a class at Fox Valley Technical College some years ago. One of the other studients was girl from Crandon. I've been to Crandon many times and my dad has a place on a lake nearby. To her, the "big city" was Green Bay. And she thought Milwaukee was like New York with subways. Just a matter of perspective, I guess. |
