The really really REALLY stupid thing is that Pelosi didn't get elected as the speaker with just California delegation voters. The majority of the nation's representatives voted for her. There isn't a thing that either of these two liberals could do without the support of the hundreds of liberals that the rest of the nation elected to represent them. Nothing. You'll not hear but an occasional boo about Nevada's Reed in the Senate but California's Pelosi is the subject of many topics in the General Discussion. You'll not hear a word about Obama and his cabinet - out of the 30-40 members in the cabinet and executive office I found one that I'm certain is from California and that's Hilda Solis the Secretary of Labor. There's four or five from Chicago and another five or six from New York but following the logic of the General Discussion you'd swear that Californian's rule the nation. |
