Tactical First Aid Class – Questions
Here is a list of common questions people want to know about the class: What Tourniquets do you recommend for the class? SOF-T (Special Operations Forces Tourniquet) or the CAT (Combat Application Tourniquet) are my recommendations. It's highly encouraged to get your hands on one or the other for the practical applications portions of the class. If you have something else bring it and we will review it and see if it works or if you need to replace it. this is a "HANDS ON" course. How many Gauze/Ace Wraps do I need to bring? Only one of each is required for the course, but additional would be ideal when we start practical exercises on wound packing and pressure dressings. Can't say it enough - BRING gear you have in your kit or have questions about. I've seen damn near everything out there and can give honest un-biased assessments on what works and what doesn't. Smart cards will be available the day of the course and will cover the curriculum. If you already have smart cards feel free to bring them as well.
