Two questions

Where in Springfield can I find a gun shop with good prices?

And....can I open carry in IL?

All the gunshops in springfield are way over priced and staffed by douchebags.

I dont even go to fingerfuck anymore, too much drama.

Transfers are the way to go.

Open carry? Open carry will get you killed here faster than standing on a train track.

Better get your FOID card to because if you get caught with even one round of .22lr without it you are going to jail.

I can answer # 2.

As a general rule, the answer is no. However the law permits you to carry a firearm upon your own property or fixed place of business.

So I hope they don't sell any guns.

I was going to do a trade at one shop and they wanted way too much for thier guns.  I told them they were out to lunch and then told them the market prices.

Probably ticked them off.  That was my intention.  Screw these people.

I traded with a Gunbroker dealer and got the good deal.  I refuse to pay these prices.

I am from PA and moved here with the Army.

Who is dumb enough to pay these prices??????

I have a FOID.  I will be glad to go home to PA.  That will be in 1-3 years.

Firearms in vehicles must be unloaded, cased, and not in reach of the driver.

No loaded mags or speed loaders.

Well.  On the bright side I live about one mile from an indoor range and the cost to shoot there is very reasonable.

You can have loaded mags, just not in the gun.  They can be in the same case as the unloaded gun, just not in the gun.

As Tango7 would say...

(i) are broken down in a non-functioning state; OR
(ii) are not immediately accessible; OR
(iii) are unloaded and enclosed in a case

If the weather permits we can shoot at my local range. It is about 45 minutes South of Springfield. Outdoor only but it is clean and well kept and it's ranges up to 200 yrds. It is only $60 a year to get a key. My family and I shoot everything from 22 calibur and up. Black Rifles how ever are frowned upon well....my AR 10 is anyway, but my AK 47 is not so go figure.

I'll be making a trip soon to Bullet Express for reloading supplies. The wife is out of 9 mm and the shelves here are bare.

Please hurry if you are not in prison.

You may have fetal alcohol syndrome. We have enough of that already.
