| I'm generally a FTF selling guy, but the selling is slow for higher end-ish rifles in the Fairbanks area and I was looking for feedback on anyone's experience shipping individual to FFL to the lower 48. |
| Mike at Iron and Wood would let me put my own postage on boxes and for $10 log it to ship ffl-ffl via USPS. Otherwise use the ship my gun Service here |

I know frontier used to be $70 or so to ship but Mike at Iron and Wood runs a good shop. You can ship direct to FFLs for most things, but it can be a pain in the ass. I’m going through that or deciding if I want to get a table at the gun show on the 22nd. Have a few of my brother’s guns to sell for his estate. And yeah, the mewe groups are certainly slow.

Unless you get a buyer with a dick FFL who won't accept from individuals. Really the best way to unload guns is gunbroker, if you have an account. |
| Glad im not the only one who has dealt with the psycho at alaskaslist, guys been harassing me for years claiming I owe him 3 dollars and will only accept it via PayPal. I still get "Larceny complaints" and hate mail a few times a week. But to the OP shipping out of state is easy, just expensive, for a long gun expect at least $100 west coast and upwards of 300 east coast. |

Dude wanted money to post anything AR related after Sandy Hook even with hunting rifles for twice the price in the free category. |
| I recently sent a rifle to an FFL in lower 48. He sent me a copy of his ffl to show the nice lady at USPS. She wanted to know where my name was on his ffl. I enclosed a copy of my DL for his records. Went smooth enough. I had removed the stock and trigger group; it had a short barrel. It cost just over $80 |

I tend to just pay my FFL to ship it tends to costs $50+ for handguns. Rifles likely $75+ that's usually shipping and the transfer. |

I had to send in a handgun to Ruger and Arctic Ammo handled the transaction. I had to pay for sending it to Ruger. AA boxed it up and set up the shipping. Seemed reasonable at the time. Ruger fixed the problem and sent it back on their dime to AA where it was returned to me. I've had a few transactions with AA and they have always been great to work with. |

Shipping a pistol is the most likely problem. I have no idea if Ruger requires it or not but it's illegal for a non-license holder to ship a pistol via the Postal Service. Combine that with the UPS and FedEx policies around private individuals and you really don't have much of an option when it comes to pistols. |

I bought the Wife a S&W EZ9 some time back. It was part of their recall. S&W sent me a label and I took it to FEDEX and they shipped it no problem. S&W did what they did and sent it straight back to us. It always amazes me how the same thing can be treated so differently depending on who, what, & when. When I was flying back & forth L48 to AK with guns & ammo, it was often a completely different experience. |
