Heyo Minnesotans!!!
So, I am about to get into reloading and my question is, where can I find small rifle primers honestly I know its a stupid question, but Hugos Wolf Den had just sold their last 1k when I walked into the store :(..... Thanks in advance.... I am willing to travel to WI too. |

You are not going to like the answer, but I would suggest patience...... Or in other words you just have to wait it out on your part......place an order with Graf's or Powder Valley and wait for the back order.
But, there is always Cabelas, Scheels, and the Goose Mountains that carry reloading stuff. Check the Gunstop in Minnetonka....when it is all said and done...you just have to be patient. |

im sure your aware that your getting into this at a bad time, but it looks like things are getting better. I was unable to get any primers over the last 6 months but a week ago i landed 5000.3000 large, 1000 small and 1000 small pistol. dealers claim they are getting in more deliveries, just small deliveries. As far as I have found there is no majic hidden shop you can get ahold of a ton of primers. Just call every day to scheels, cabelas, wolfs den, gun stop etc. if you do this you will find them within a month. If your desperate to get started i could hook you up with a tray of 100 cci 400's. It kills me to see a new reloader unable to get started. just be patient and keep making phone calls to as many places as you can, if your quick and lucky you willl land 1000 or more. Many places will hold them for you if you call and give them your name.

Quoted: Well I just found 2k Federal...but they are older is what a friend is saying, they are super expensive...but at least I would have them eh? its 50 per box of 1,000 and 2k total... Good? or just push my patience longer?? I'd be tempted to pay the premium versus running around for the next month looking for them, just to have them and be done with it. Weigh the gas and time costs. Your call, though. |

Stillwater/Eastern border toward wisconsin... Keep an eye out in the Reloading Forum in the Armory. Wideners has been getting shipments of Wolf SR primers. The folks in the reloading forum are posting their findings almost as fast as they find deals on any component, especially powder and primers. |
