Well, got the cable today for programming my
Yaesu FT-60 via USB. Got the Commander Software downloaded and no go!!!

ARRRGH!!

So I figured the driver was not compatiable with Windows 7 so I installed it on a Vista 32 platform and no fucking go either!!


I do NOT want to downgrade to XP to program my damn radio........anyone know of software/driver that will work on a vista platform?>???

Need more info. Where does the process blow up? What kind of errors are you getting?

does your cable emulate a serial port? The cables I have are all serial and I use a USP to serial... I know old school bout there is stuff I still use on the RS232 standers

Driver is not recognized at all.

Still has a yellow icon next to the device as "unknown"

I run Win2000 if that's easier to find a driver for, and you wanna bring it by here.

Well, I have tried compatability mode.....reinstalled....nada.

Shows up in device manager as a USB SERIAL CONTROLLER with a yellow icon.

Well, downgraded back to Vista 32bit and all works just fine, so apparantlly it was a Windows 7 issue..........
