Just wondering of anyone local has built an RPD semii-auto from a parts kit.  I'm thinking about it and would like someone local to bounce ideas off of.
Thanks,

I've been considering building one myself. Looking for the semi parts for the FCG, I understand DS Arms sells a  semi receiver also

Have you looked at

I wish you luck with your RPD cavscouty as there's a lot of upset people that have had 1 & 2 kits sitting at projectguns from their last batch that was supposed to have been completed and shipped months ago and can get no response back from them on why the extended delays.  I remember hearing something about one of the partners quitting back around the first of the year or so and that put things behind schedule and he's been unable to catch up ever since.  I've got a couple Polish RPD kits I haven't decided on what to do with myself and am just keeping my options open and listening on what is working for everybody else.  If you don't already know these websites they are worth checking on RPD parts kit builds and general info:  weaponsguild.com, weaponeer.net and gunco.net

Good luck and glad that you're home safe...and in time for RAGBRAI.

Yeah I heard about one of their dudes , I hope it doesn't take too long.  According to his website he moved his shop so he might be able to do more faster, we'll see I guess.

BobBob, rough freaking night huh?

Well, I took the plunge and ordered a kit and 2 drums from Sarco, now to save-up some dough for the receiver.

Maybe I'll get a hold of you in 6-8 weeks, I know you're incredibly busy right now.
