Ok so I am wondering about powder. I know its hards to find and I am just now wanting to get into reloading (Im going with the classic lee loader, just my preferrence). I have heard that there is I guess a law or statute on how much powder you can have within city limits and if that is the case, where can I go to find out how much I can have? I doubt there is any problem with having just one pound of powder but Im thinking I might want another pound or two along with as many LR primers as I can afford/find along with pistol primers. Also, how hard is it getting to find 7.62 slugs and .223/5.56 brass and slugs??

The only place in town that has powder and some  primers is H&H. They are a bit high but do have some.
There is no ordnance tha I know of about how much powder you can store at your home.  A few pounds is not a big deal. Same with primers.
Just keep them in a safe place, free from humidity and oil products.
If you drip a rag in oil and leave it, spontaneous combustion will happen eventually.
Usually it happens when someone has it stored next to ammonia nitrate and the gas can in their garage.
Be safe in how you store a small amount of powder and you'll be OK.
308 brass is hard to find. Almost impossible.
308 bullets can be had at H&H, Bass Pro, and at Gene Sears (good supply of everything) in El Reno.
Large rifle primers aren't too hard to find, Small rifle primers a near impossiblity.

Ya I'm not the biggest fan of H&H, though all but three of my guns have come from there. I'm gonna have to do some exploring this weekend, maybe check out that el reno shop you mentioned

if you can get a few people that need powder and primers,

then place an bulk order (up to 50lbs combined per one hazmat fee) with one of the online vendors natchez, powder valley, wideners etc and save some funds,

or if you've got the funds to stock up, then by all means stock it deep, components most likely will never go down in price very much from what they are now, sine the manufacturers are getting the asking price they want now.

The problem is that right now almost everyone is out of everything, my favorite components source Powder Valley has almost no inventory.  Powder Valley writes on their website : "At this time we are not taking any new backorders for primers that are not listed here.  We currently have over 50 million primers on backorder"

yeah I like the hell out of powdervalley, but they were having issues the last two times I was going to place an order with them.

back at end of last year I was going to order primers from them and the chick couldn't find my info on file, so I faxed another copy to them; then she tells me it'd be approx two weeks before they could pull and ship the order, ended up buying the same primers from another vendor, cost approx $20 more, but I had them in approx 10 days, would have been quicker but the holidays affected delivery time.

same thing with powder, ended up buying from another vendor, cost me approx $25 more, but they had everything I wanted in stock and it was sitting on my doorstep two days after I placed the order.

For the last several months they have had a notice on their website about being so overwhelmed they were experiencing a shipping delay of about a couple of weeks, the current notice says they are shipping next business day, which it what their service had been previously.
