Do not know if this even exists but if it does, maybe one of you guys can assist ?

I need the template or pattern used for making the SAS windproof / arctic smock.

I was going to get an old tatty one and take it apart at the seams to make a template but maybe there is already one out there on paper ?

Any help appreciated.

And thanks in advance to Bradders for his impending reply which will be of no use whatsoever but exceedingly witty nonetheless.

when you say sas windproof/arctic smock, do you mean the old para one with the elastic cuffs? or do you just mean the new style hooded windproof smock

I think either new or old pattern smock would do. NOT the para smock - those were un hooded and uncovered zip ? The only difference was the material used ( gabardine in older ones, poly cotton in new ones ) and the cuffs.

Mrs B_R is running up one for me in some nice tweed fabric I found - she needs a pattern though.

The SAS smock is different to the arctic smock, no wire in hood and bigger pockets.

Try the defense disposal agency they flog off the old stuff pretty cheap

I think the latest Chris Ryan book came with that pattern inside.
