I just moved to the Chattanooga/ Ootlewah area and I am in need of a job. I am 27 years old with a college degree and I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone could give. I don't have many connections here in town so I thought I would give this a try and see what happens.

My degree is in Business Administration from UCF and I have 5 years experience in construction. I worked as an estimator for a masonry and concrete subcontractor in Florida until the work just dissapeared there. I also sub-contracted the building of my first home under my employer's license 3 years ago so I have some experience in that as well. I have worked in the hunting department at Bass Pro for two years so I have some retail experience as well. I say this because I realize that the construction industry is hurting right now and I am willing to do other jobs to make a living in these hard times.

Ok, progress.
You DO know that VW is building their plant in Chattanooga? Seems to me your experience would be right up their alley in what they'd need. Sadly, I have no contact info for you, but the TN Dept. of Labor should be able to hook you right up. Might also check with Bowater plant in Athens. Tourism is fixing to kick in gear & lots of places should be getting ready to hire. Rock City, Chatt. Choo-Choo, etc. all hire for the summer. Obviously this isn't your ideal job gig, but it might lead to better things. Sorry I wasn't more help. |
