Hi Guys

Is there a way of lightening the trigger pull on a standard trigger without resorting to spending loads of money on a replacement trigger?

Cheers

It's worth trying a reduced power springs kit. There are a few around, have a look at Brownells:

Spring kit

They are not expensive and so can be exported by Brownells, Cabelas etc. In the UK there are a few dodgy outfits you could try such as Bradley Arms or North West Custom Parts. South Yorkshire Shooting Supplies are well known for Ruger 10-22 bits, but they are starting to get into AR components, they may also be worth an e-mail.

There are a few replacement triggers available that don't cost the earth, if you can get a Rock River Arms 2 stage or a Timmney they are not too expensive, but a spring kit is a good and cost effective place to start.

Cheers, that looks just about right for starters. Are they easy to fit or best left to a gun plumber?

Assuming I am not treading on anyones toes and it is legal for me to do so, I think I have a new set of lightened springs which I got from Brownells. You are welcome to them for the cost of post :)

Just wanted to say thanks to rarms for the springs. Got them fitted and I'm at my club now for the first time since. The trigger is noticeably better and my groups have improved. Cheers. :)
