I went on Saturday along with a friend. He bought a Ruger 22/45 Lite pistol and I picked up some reloading items. Overall I was a little disappointed but he thought the show was decent. Seems like there were more lever guns and older 22 rimfire guns than in the past. My disappointment was because I failed to find a mag or pocket holster for my Kahr PM9. Plenty of "non gun" crap but it was still fun to look at gun stuff for a couple hours! Oh, breaking news, 25 rd German steel HK 93 mags are now $125

I went Sunday morning. It wasn’t too crowded, you could walk pretty easily without bumping into people. I think the SC Arms Collector shows are higher quality than the Mike Kent shows. I don’t recall seeing beef jerky, knife sharpener guy, and the taser guy wasn’t zapping non stop. I was looking for a couple of magazines but didn’t find them. I went solo, so only $10. No way would I spend $50 to bring the family along. |

Figured you'd get a kick outta those HK mag prices. They come with a light coating of starter rust too! Now to his credit (Microtech knife guy) he has a metric crap ton of mags that aren't even on display, they're stored in bins inside the carts. He is pretty well organized and he did search for the Kahr mag I wanted but he only had the extended ones. I bought an unmarked metal 10 rd MP5 mag from him a few years ago for maybe $20 and it runs great. It can't be German because it hasn't rusted yet! |
