Good morning, In my ongoing efforts to get out of CA, the wife and I have been looking at LA as a possible location. My wife has family in Grammercy and Lutcher and we love N.O. and other areas. I've worked in IT for the better part of twenty years and currently make decent money here in CA. Around 90k with great benefits. This position I interviewed for today was with the LSU Foundation. The fundraising non-profit arm of LSU. Interview went great and I can probably do the job with my eyes closed as I would go from supporting several hundred users to 90. But the pay is where I am stuck....The HR lady said she could probably do 60k-ish. Benefits look to be good and while I was hoping for a pension, they have a 401k matching to 8%. We've looked at houses in the Baton Rouge area around the 300k to 350k range. Anyone have any thoughts about working either for the LSU Foundation or this pay range? Regards. |
