Doesn't look like Arty T is coming back. It appears Market Basket might be sold to Kroger (heard this from Arty's cousin).

No kidding.  To be honest I figured at this point Artie T would just retire...  he's been at it so long.   Seems no fan faire yet for it.

RE Kroger, that rumor has been going around forever.

That said, I've had really good Kroger experiences with grocery and pharmacy in IN and LA.  Great experience with gas points at their pumps too.

Kroger brand Fred Meyers was good when I lived in AK.

Artie's CFO is now President. I did the interior trim finish on his house. Nice enough guy, wife too. Both very unassuming.
