I have always had an attorney's number in my phone contacts in case I was ever involved in a firearms involved situation. My attorney friend recently passed away and I need to find a new contact.
I am in the Charlotte area, but this is a great opportunity for people to get contacts all over the state, Feel free to post up your recommendations and locations.

Join the USCCA and not only will they recommend you attorneys, they will help pay for them.
I recommend the gold level at a minimum, as a barebones retainer in a capital case starts at $50,000 and that's what the silver level provides. Gold is $250 a year, but provides $75,000 for retainer and etc.  Self-Defense SHIELD In Action: True Stories Of USCCA Members GRNC has a few free names on their site, but they don't pay for your attorneys as far as I know.

Incidentally the famed self defense attorney Andrew Branca has his “law of self defense” classes with specials for GRNC members.
If you graduate his class, as I did, he will give one hour of his expert witness time to your attorney for any questions he needs. I consider his class a most valuable investment. I’ve taken shooting classes from everyone from Army Rangers, to Marine snipers, it’s just the legal battlefield that worries me.

Hell, I had a former sherrifs deputy tell me that if shoot guy inside your house, and he runs outside and dies, that I should drag his corpse back inside the house.. I came here to add him too. James Wilson is great for anything 2A. I have him working on restoring my fiancés gun rights(a couple felonies from a previous life - she’s almost 10 years sober) and he’s getting it done with no issue. I can’t recommend him enough. She’s going to get her rights restored |
