What are some good gun shops with fair prices. Even better if they have a decent inventory so the display gun isn’t the one you buy. NOT just Guns in Mason is cool but if you see a beat up gun in the display case it’s likely the only one of that model they have in stock. Total Firearms in Holt is trash. They managed to become even worse than they were 10-years ago. High prices. Ignorant staff. Poor inventory. CMP distributors is cool for Glocks & Smith & Wesson. Probably the best selection of used guns I’ve found. Classic Arms (east lansing) went out of business? Still need to check out Gilroys in St John’s and the place in Perry. |

Ignorant staff. Poor inventory. I went there to have them install some sights. It was quick an affordable but the guy I talked too seemed kinda douchey. That was my only visit ever. CMP distributors is cool for Glocks & Smith & Wesson. Probably the best selection of used guns I’ve found. Before I ever owned a gun I went here and they were pretty accommodating and not stuck up. I was able to get a Glock discount with my work ID. I bought a lot of various size mags there. Classic Arms (east lansing) went out of business? I think my dad used to frequent this place. Still need to check out Gilroys in St John’s and the place in Perry. Gill-Roy's is a legit old-school hardware store with a gun shop on the side down a little hallway. They have a decent selection of guns and knives and accessories. I frequent the hardware store and have walked the gun shop a few times. They have a decent supply and weren't pushy or elitist. When I lived in Haslett they got a lot of my business. They never jacked pricing up after Sandy Hook and have a lot of shit in stock even if the display cases don't show it all. Also was nice buying 50 rd boxes of SD ammo vs. the normal 20 you see in most stores. Don't have to be LEO to buy there. Tons of holsters on the racks as well. |

| If you're willing to travel out 96 a bit, peacemakers in Howell has a nice selection. Avoid the cute 20 something. Decent indoor range if needed and their RSO's aren't dicks in my experience. |
10,000 years ago there was a 2 mile thick glacier parked right here and not 1 SUV to melt it.
| I bought quite few guns at Duncan’s in Bay City. An old guy named Al works there, nice guy. The range is about ok. Not the most state of the art, but it works. WhenI go there with my family they put us on our own range. They have two of them. I always make it a point to visit there when I am in the area visiting my family. |

| I'm a big fan of Duncan's Outdoors too. They are a Glock Blue Label dealer. I learned how to shoot from Charlie Duncan back in the late 70's. He started a marksmanship program thru the YMCA and built a range in the basement of the Saginaw location. I was in the summer program while in elementary school. I did the NRA CPL Instructor class there at the store several years ago too. |

Found out the hard way the other day that Not Just Guns website prices are not accurate in store. They had the RXM for $364 and said in stock in store. Drove an hour and it was $399 in store. Won’t match their own online price. |

I am not a regular customer or anything, but while I was traveling for work recently, I stopped into Williams Outdoors just outside of Flint. They have a huge selection, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Prices were typical gun store range, but not ridiculous- I'd have bought something from them if I was in the market. |

Not too sure on pricing, maybe average but I'm usually working on a building project or something thats going to be expensive anyway and finding inventory is important. I usually shop online for pricing. Now for my NFA items I use Gerbrand Defense . I think Williams has NFA items but Okie at Gerbrand must be a savant on the NFA paperwork. Never had problems and got my stuff back quick. |

I bought like 11-12 NFA items through him last year alone, the wait times being only 2-3 days I figured I would get a good line up while I could. He also does great on engraving my SBRs. I live about 45-50 minutes away and he would even do the paperwork remotely. Some of his guns are a little high end, bought a 8.6 Fix through him. Has a bunch of suppressor accessories, muzzle devices, adapters, etc... |

I have a pawn shop and a small sporting goods store near me, and they don't have a lot of stuff. I occasionally go to Waterford for work. I'll have to check them out.  I buy stuff online mostly these days. I found a local-to-me kitchen table dealer who only charges $25, but will got to $20/ea for multiples. I save money by buying multiple guns with each order (shipping and transfer is less), but I can't convince the wife of that.

I applied there to work back in 2011 when I was also involved in not only shooting but experience in overseeing shooting as a past IDPA/USPA Match director Also a RO/SO … also a John Farnum DTI Advanced grad… the guy looked at me like I spoke a foreign language….Clueless. |

Matt’s Sports and Ammo north of GR is good to go. Excellent selection of ammo and reloading components, and he now carries used guns too. Prices are actually fair too, unlike some gun stores I’ve seen. More centralized is Trigon Armament in Sheridan. Just guns, ammo, and some accessories. |
