I'd recommend a good Italian beef sandwich. Portillo's, Buona, Al's or basically any local beef stand. I can't think of anything noteworthy to see in Elmhurst.

ETA Cantigny is in nearby Wheaton but the museum and tank park are closed in January.

Yes it did. Tried Portillos. Yorkies. El Famous burrito. Other than the cold it was a good trip
