My new hard disc took a dump. The whole computer is too old to fix. I am down for the forseable future. I'll be back when Kathy isn't on her computer. |

Dell outlet Prices fluctuate, but they often have good sales and free shipping |
I don't have one right now but will look at the parts I have and see if I can cobble a little internet computer for you. I will look this weeekend. Never buy a Dell! |
I prefer aftermarket, LOL! Just lick my ARs. |
I've got a complete windows 98 machine here, P3 800 IIRC. Just add a mouse, keyboard, and monitor. |
My personal PC, (I know it's a slight oxymoron, but it's my old PC, that I use at work for personal stuff, like arfcom), is less. A 733mhz machine, with just about every maximum upgrade after the 8 years I've owned it. A couple months ago the hard drive failed, and the computer guy charged me $20 for a used replacement. It's a 60GB.... three times the size of the original, which was less than 1/2 full the entire time I've owned it. ![]() No BS, I swear it's still faster than most of the newer PCs we have. They may bury me with it. |
Let me fire that thing up tonight and make sure it actually works, it's one that someone at work didn't want anymore that I took months ago and never turned it into anything useful for me. I can bring it by in the morning this weekend if you'll be around, see your IM for my #. |
XP will run just fine on that bad boy.... |

Scratch that turns out it's really a P2 MMX 400 that was dog slow until I found that it had mismatched RAM, now it's not bad. Found in it: 2x256 1x256 PC133 1x64 PC100 ![]() It works, it connects to ARF via a cable connection, but it's gonna need some TLC from Bunny Slayer of Lattes. |
