| I'll be in Philly next week for work and I'm looking for recommendations. I've had Angelo's and Johns cheesesteaks and I was wondering what's the talk about Jim's? What's a steakhouse or restaurant to get a good steak. I've had good Italian at L'Angolo Ristorante. And the Reading Market is pretty cool as well. I've had the pork sandwich from DiNic’s with sweet peppers. |

Pretty much anywhere other than Pat's or Geno's is a decent chance of a good cheesesteak. Steak... Butcher & Singer, Steak 48 and Alpen Rose are ones I'd say to look at. Del Frisco is super consistent, but nothing unique. |

There's a new cheesesteak place in in Reading Terminal Market called Uncle Gus that is run by the folks behind Angelos. At RTM the three best things are the pork from DiNics, the Pastrami special from Hershel's East Side, and the donuts from Beilers. There's about a million other things you can get there that are pretty good as well. My favorite steak place is Barclay Prime in Rittenhouse. Next is Butcher and Singer. Rittenhouse Grill has an old school supper club vibe if you're into that. Get the Prime Rib there. |
