Current CWAR spec is a 13" Geissele Mk4 or Mk8 (IIRC 15" is acceptable as well). Geissele has more models of rails out these days and the 10.5" length is out as well, which is long enough to cover the gas block on a 16" mid-length barrel. Are any of these new rails acceptable for a CWAR (Mk14, Mk16, the 10.5s, etc.)? Should the spec be updated just like it was to add the LWRC compact and ultra compact stocks (I think original was just B5 SOPMOD)? @RustedAce |

I'm still partial to the Mk8 in 13" on a 14.5" to16" rifle. I have a few of them with no plans to change. The whole CWAR spec was based around a general purpose rifle setup, although there is a detailed list of features, care of our favorite train driver: And also:
