An Appleseed event also qualified as the shooting portion of the CMP requirements, $75 for the weekend, see April Appleseed thread.. (<- you have to ask for the certificate from the shoot boss)
Membership in the ISRA counts toward the Club requirements. Or a CCW permit from any other state. The CMP will ship to your door, even in Illinois. They do check for FOIDs, its in the requirements list for Illinois. |
| I was wondering if they would accept a pa ccw since there was no shooting involved in getting it? Seeing that the shooting events that I looked into involved kneeling when shooting I can not take a course that requires you to kneel. Been thinking about getting a C&R to get around that. |

I did a CMP qualifying carbine match at the ISRA range and I don't remember having to kneel. Prone, sitting and off-hand is all I remember. Plus it was fun |

Many, if not all, events will allow sitting in place of kneeling. Just call the organizers to confirm. They want people to join and compete, even if you have a minor disability... |

Thanks for the info, I will have to look into that. |
