I have realized that alot more people than i thought had a ccw and they made it sound like it wasnt' too difficult to get(this is what kept me from attempting it)

I have no knowledge about CCW and how to get it.  The only thing i've found is the local area that gives the class and that they only accept about 12 people quarterly.
My question is "what do you have to do to get a CCW?"  are there applications? requirments? etc.

Any help will be appreciated.

The basic process is:

Successfully complete an approved CPL course.
Go to the local cop shop and pick up a CPL application kit.
Have passport photos made. Costs a few bucks at WalMart.
Have a fingerprint card made. That costs $105.
Turn in training cert, fingerprints, and photos.
Wait.
Wait some more.
Pick up your CPL.

It's easy. Do it!

The class is so easy it's almost a joke. The paperwork isn't bad, assuming you can make it down to the clerk and fingerprinting during their hours. (not bad for me, but I could imagine some people's work hours wouldn't make is so easy.) total cost: $180-300, depending on the class.

Delta summed it up pretty well. 12 people quarterly? Wow! Where are you at where only one class is offered in your area?
