Anyone have any recommendations (or warnings) for instructors in the greater Las Vegas area? Wife and I have to take the course here in the coming months. Thanks.

there's an arfcommer that will come to you
ishoot2live He's a total jerk
Joe is a good guy and a great instructor, he'll probably stop in and give you his contact info shortly. On the opposite end of the spectrum if you just want super cheap and don't care so much about the instruction i think the gun store offers them for free, I'm guessing that's if you qualify on their range and use their ammo which they probably charge a ton for idk never been there for the class. |
| On Monday I took my recert at The Gun Store,The instructor,Mike Rogers seems like a likable guy,not too full of himself, doesn't seem to be Utah certified though.Like all instructors,I don't agree with ALL the propaganda/instruction.You can't beat the price, the website says you HAVE to use their ammo at FULL retail + range fee.I used my reloads and paid $5.00 range fee.Everyone smiles and seems to like their job.No surprises, few free things are worth the price, this IS a good deal ! |

Thanks obo and WP. rich1967, The name of my business is Line of Fire, LLC. You can contact me anytime @ (702) 242-8288. All of my courses are private by appointment only, and as obo mentioned I will come to you for the classroom portion. All of the live-fire training (yes training, not just qualification) is done outdoors at the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club in Boulder City. My course is longer than most others around town and I charge more (you know, that whole you get what you pay for thing). I've trained many people and their families here on the NVHTF over the years, and if you do some research you'll see that I give my students more than they pay for. If this interests you and your wife I would be happy to hear from you (if nothing else to explain my program so you can make an informed decision for your training). Be Safe. Joe |

Rich,
Whenever you're ready to get it completed I can definitely accommodate you and your wife. In the meantime, at least give me a call so I can explain the details of my course and what is involved. I'm usually available with no distractions in the evenings. -Joe |
