I'm looking for some recommendations for a good CCW class. My friend and I are looking to take it within a month or less. He lives at 43rd Ave. and Bell and I'm at 40th St. and Bell. We're willing to travel east if the price is right, but would like something close if possible. What we don't want or need: "Special Forces" attitudes  I would like to stay away from having to use Ben Avery, but if the indoor range classes are too expensive or crazy, then it'll suffice. I did ADPI's class (Doug Little) and was very pleased. $89.00. But he does use one of Ben Avery's ranges which was fine with me. ADPI If you want indoors then Scottsdale Gun Club would be my choice. $99.00 Scottsdale Gun Club |

I've been out of Phoenix for a bit but took my CCW class through Glendale Community College and the class was pretty good. The instructor was a rangemaster for MCSO and did a good job. I've had instruction from three different instructors at GCC and all three were pretty sharp. I took a couple classes from Proactive and they are real good but changed their focus to cop classes. |
