Hello All, My son and I will be taking some charters and hiking the Harding Icefield trail out of Seward at the end of June, traveling to the Southern veiwpoint of Denali, and attending the Clacierview Car Launch on July 4th. I am having a hard time deciding what gun to carry on the Harding trail? Is a 9mm plus bear spray enough? Any other recommendations on places to eat and things to do would be appreciated. Thanks |

The biggest caliber revolver you are comfortable shooting, with the hottest load possible. Don't go out and buy a S&W 500 mag unless you're already proficient with it. If seen a lot of newbies with one of those who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. I carry a 8" super Blackhawk, because that's the highest caliber revolver I'm the most accurate with. YMMV |
