It's a good idea but I take it that 'scientifically adjusting the gas emission' means the gas ports are threaded and you simply put in or take out screws for the relevant ports to achieve your desired result? So you could tap your existing pepperpot brake and buy a bag of machine screws?

Don't know how sad or anal you have to be to sit there with an Allen key removing and refitting grub screws and test firing.
"ooh that felt a bit less recoiley than the last shot, I think I'll try it with another one removed, hmmm not too sure about that might be a bit less recoiley, but it might be the same, think I'll remove another one.....mmmmmm not sure, that could even be a tagde more recoiley, i think I'll refit two etc etc etc etc etc," What happens when you change to a different brand of ammo? Didn't Browning come up with the Boss system a few years ago where you could tune the harmonics for group size? I think that would be a better idea |

I'm looking at that idea and just thinking it wouldn't take many hundreds of rounds before the threads in the empty holes got clogged up with carbon, preventing re-fitting of the screws...

You'd probably need to loctite those screws in or they'd get loose get spat out at high speed
