I've often wondered what the rational was behind buyback and destroy.
I haven't looked too deeply into it because of lack of interest in selling any guns, particularly at buyback prices; but wouldn't this be a great way of committing a crime, then having the State pay you money to destroy the evidence that could be used against you?
