| Never before have I seen a team play so well and still lose. |

Astros played well but White Sox just happened to play better in critical moments of the games. It was a great ride though--going from 15 games out before All-Stars to make wild card and got to World Series. I'm glad Biggio and Bagwell had a chance to play the World Series before they decide to retire. |
7 scoreless innings. You can ask for more from a pitcher, but not from your fourth starter. Bagwell and Biggio each year they made the playoffs shut down for years. This year, Biggio did well, but Bagwell choked like a minor leaguer. They made the series, that's a HUGE accomplishment for a team that was 15 - 30 in May. |

I'm an astros fan, but the better team won (man that was tough to say). Overall, the Astros scored enough runs to win, but every time they got a lead, the Sox had an answer. The Chicago batters just plain made the Astros pitchers work harder than the Astros worked the Sox pitchers. The Sox played great ball, and some of the Astros (like Ensberg, Everett especially) did not. And the Houston bullpen stunk up the joint. I'm proud that they made it, especially after such a crappy beginning of the season, though I gotta admit to being disappointed. |

Been an Astros fan since the days of JR, Scott, Doran, Hatcher and the old rainbow uni's and many many others. I was so glad to see them make it to the series, especially for Bags and Biggio, two class individuals who epitomize what sports stars are supposed to be like. They never gave up the whole season and even after the crushing blow by Pujols, still came back and showed they belonged in the Series. My only hope for them was to have good individual performances and make a good showing. I think they accomplished all of that, I just wish they could have managed just one or two more runs and gotten a home victory. :) Oh well, onto next year!!! Go 'Stros!!! |
Dam proud of the Astros. They played well, just two or three timely hits and it could have been much different. Same story all year, great pitching and no hitting. One thing that will always stand out. They beat the red birds in their LAST game at their home stadium . Gota love that.Next year should be equally interesting if they stay together. They played Chicago better than Red Sox or Yankees. nough said......... |
. Gota love that.
