Tennessee, we are this close to restoring a crucial piece of our Second Amendment rights — but insiders are revealing what's really holding the Hearing Protection Act back. -- Two Republican Congressmen — including one right here in Tennessee — are reportedly stalling the bill. Instead of supporting full removal of suppressors from the NFA registry, they're backing a weaker alternative that would still keep law-abiding Americans trapped in a federal database. -- Here are the names — it’s time they heard from us: -- Rep. David Kustoff (TN) – 202-225-4714 Tennessee voters deserve better. Tell him we expect bold support — no compromise. -- Rep. Jason Smith (MO) – 202-225-4404 -- Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee -- Chris Cox (Cap6 Advisors) – [email protected] Former NRA lobbyist — now allegedly working behind the scenes to derail the HPA. -- We must take action — and do it now. Be firm, respectful, and clear: -- We want full support for the Hearing Protection Act — no watered-down substitute. -- We reject any bill that keeps Americans listed in the NFA registry. -- We are voters. We’re watching. And we remember in November. This is about more than suppressors — it’s about freedom, privacy, and principle. Let’s hold our representatives accountable and finish what we started. -- Share this with every Tennessean who cares about their rights. Flood the lines. Demand answers. |

| I called Kustoff's office and spoke to a nice young lady who gaslighted me that he's really on our side and that this is a small "positive" and if they don't do this small step then the senate and president will oppose it and the legislation won't make it through the senate and president. I told her he can gaslight us all he wants. He can vote for whoever pays them the most money, but that won't buy votes. |

I don't doubt handyandy's account of his call. I also called Kustoff's office and was assured by a young man that Kustoff fully supported the bill as originally submitted, to remove these items ftom the NFA, and that any report to the contrary was false and malicious. My call was to the DC office on Monday 5/12/25 at 1:15 pm, Memphis time. I couldn't get through on the 901 area code number. Edit to add: I also emailed via Kustoff's online portal, and have not received a response. |
