iknow, i know this comes up often but i've seen in the gun mags this is a big trend. ruger, taurus, sig, kimber, kahr, walther and more all offer slim single stack 9s with 6-8 mag capacity. will glock join the fray? with the 36 they have showed interest and capability in single stacks, i'm surprised they are so late to the party! or.......................maybe not so much. |

I would not buy a single stack GLOCK, not a single reason to do so. |

I'd agree with this...one more on the market wouldn't hurt my feelings either. |

Buy a Walther PPS, buy a Kahr. GLOCK has something from the beginning that many companies had to evolve in to, high capacity mags, polymer frame, non selectable built in safeties. Fuck it, why don't we ask for a 4x4 Corvette instead of buying a Jeep for off roading while we're at it, oh well Chevies loss on that one... |

If they would make AR style carbines for pistol calibers(especially 9mm, 10mm and .45)...hell yes!!! And why not everyone else makes a 1911. The fact is they already have the single stack .45 on the books, just make a 9mm...WINNING! Funny how the defense takes the Glock is different b/c they don't make 1911's or AR's; that they shouldn't fine tune something they already made in another caliber to compete in a similar niche market... |

I think there would be a better market for a single stack .45acp Glock. A reliable 8+1 .45acp Glock that would fit your hand would outsell all of the 1911's out there. ![]() He said RELIABLE.
If you look at the actual dimensions/specs. of the Glock 26 versus the other single stack offerings out there, they really aren't that much different. I've never seen the sales figures, but I would bet the G30 outsells the G36 by ALOT. The G36 also has alot more recoil and can be very picky when it comes to ammo selection. Edited to make "chart" more legible. |

The 19 or 23 is plenty small enough to carry concealed, unless your going speedo. If you do please manscape yourself with your NAA 22 revolver. I just threw up in my mouth a bit. |

I would not buy a Kahr, or Ruger compact 9mm but, I would buy a Glock single stack 9mm. I carry a SA Sub-Compact 1911 .45acp as my CCW. When I open carry it is my Glock. When trying to conceal a weapon. Sometimes that 0.5" or 0.8" Does indeed make a huge difference. Even with my G19, I can't wear it in a IWB holster without looking like I have some big massive growth on my side. That is why I carry my SA Sub-Compact 1911 when I have to CCW. Yes, SA makes a 9mm version. NO, I don't want to sell a kidney to buy it. BikerScout Sunny AZ |

Edited to make "chart" more legible. That chart is nice, but the numbers are deceiving. I EDC'd the PPS for over a year and the G26 for about the same. Despite the G26 being only .14" wider, the difference in real life carrying is HUGE. The PPS just disappears and you forget you even have it on you. The G26 is like carrying a baseball in your waistband. FWIW, I now EDC a G19. If I'm gonna be uncomfortable, I might as well carry something with a large advantage over the slim-nines. |

From a business POV..... Glock has a sub 9mm & a sub .40. It makes zero financial sense to develop a single stack version of ether that will compete with what they already have for sale. Guns that already are big sellers. ughhhhh.....then why do they have the g30 and........here it comes......the g36 your point fails.....imho i'd buy one tomorrow if available... |
