Does any one else shoot +p+ in their 9mm Glock and have you had any problems. I have shot it a few times and started using as carry ammo in my G19.

I don't know for sure but I have heard that you are not supposed to shoot even +p in a Glock. With that said I have shot +P but not +p+ in my G22 and G23.

The short answer is:

If it's 9mm Parabellum/Luger/NATO/etc, it's good to shoot in a Glock

Glocks can withstand +P and +P+ with no problem

I shoot +P+ all the time through my Glock 19, and have for years.  Its been my duty ammo for years as well.

That's good to hear because my G19 is stuffed with 124 gr. +P Gold Dots right now.

That's like saying "my truck ain't supposed to go over 100 so I do 90". It's also a load of misinformation. The Glock is the ONLY pistol I'd trust with +P+. In fact, my load is RA9TA (for those of you who don't know it's the 127gr +P+ Ranger load) and I have had zero trouble and haven't noticed any accelerated wear.

The reason I don't carry 124gr GDHP +P is because the Ranger load has a slight edge in the accuracy department out of my G19 and G26...YMMV.

He's asking about 9mm, not 40S&W.  What .40 S&W ammo is labeled +P anyway?  I think I've heard of some .40 Cor-Bon load that was labeled +P but that's it.  I don't believe there has ever been a 40 S&W load labeled +P+.

To answer the question, +P and +P+ 9mm is great in a GLOCK.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS +P OR +P+ IN .40!

Correct, there is no SAMMI spec for .40S&W +p,+P+.

That being said I have seen places "call" their 40S&W loads "+P" or "+P+".  They said it was loaded above SAMMI specs, so it was +P.

BAck to the OP:  I shoot +P+ in my G19,G17.

I have put at least 2-3k +P and +P+ rounds through my G17, which has also seen the wear of untold thousands of rounds of standard pressure ammo.  No problems at all.

Called Glock and they say any new manufactured ammo will work fine. Q +P? A yes ok. Q +P+? A yes ok. As long as it is new not reloads. I shoot and carry COR-BON 115gr +P about 1360fps, and GDHP 115gr +P+ 1350fps. They both work fine in my G19, and G17.

Yea Georgia Arms is one of those places that will sell a 40SW +p+ load but recommends it not bu shot from any weapon that does not have a fully supported chamber.  I think it is a Nosler 135gr HP running around 1375fps.

nato 9mm is +p+, it's made to shoot that, 40s&w is at the top of the c.u.p. of what the 40 can handle, there is no +p and never will be

Whoops! Wasn't thinking! It was in my 17 and 19 not my 22/23. .40 is not made in +P.

Once again for those of you who missed the large print or can't read...

There is NO SUCH THING as +P or +P+ in .40 !
