Hey all, I'm seriously contemplating getting an XD45. However, I've never fired an XD. I'm mainly a 1911 guy (see avatar) who also likes BHP's, Glocks, and HK's. How does the trigger reset compare to the Glock and the HK? Is it somewhere in between? I'm assuming it's not as good as the Glock (not much aside from a 1911 is) and it's not as bad as the USP (biggest complaint about the pistol). Thanks Rich |

I've been shooting a XD45 Tactical for a few weeks not and the trigger is quite good. If you are asking if you can feel the reset while letting off the trigger after recoil so that you can just release to that point and not have to stage, then yes you can. It has the same audible click as a glock. It stages like a glock, might have a little more take-up, but does feel smoother. YMMV. |
| I have an XD40, completely stock, i happen to love it, but i got a chance to shoot one with a trigger enhancement from canyon creek today, holy crap, what a difference, like night and day. As soon as i can get the cash at hand, mines going directly to canyon creek. It actually felt like a custom trigger job on a 1911. I cant wait!!!!!!! |

I only own stock XDs, and I find the trigger to be just fine. But, I will +1 the Canyon Creek trigger job. Nothing beats it! Everyone on xdtalk.com who has had a trigger job done by Rich at CC raves about it, and says it's a must for XD owners. Some day whyen I have some extra money, I'll get mine done as well.
