| Full size P320-X10 5" barrel. Got a itch for one but have heard that there are issues with the magazines hanging up not feeding HP and hard cast rounds(longer OAL or larger ogive?). Any truth to it? You got one? How's it do? |

I'm also considering one (and the "new" 365 Fuse) I could be wrong but, from reloading the 10mm for years, I don't think it's so much the OAL as much as the very large ogive necessary on the heavy for caliber bullets; 220+ Just today I sold my S&W 1006 with the intention of getting a more modern, high cap 10mm and, after handling the X-Ten, I really like what it has to offer. |
| I have the full size and the Comp versions. In my experience the mag issue is real when fully loaded with 200 grain hardcast. I get FTF with the first few rounds. SIG exchanged my old mags for new mags and it seems that the revised mags are more reliable. I live in bear country and I do not feel confident carrying the XTen for bear defense. I love how they fit my hand and they are very accurate. They are great range guns when loaded with less than ten rounds and 180 grain loads. OAL is also an issue. I load my 10mm loads a wee bit shorter and that also seems to improves reliability. |
| I ended up getting one last weekend and of course the ammo I have a good supply of was a No-Go. S&B 180g. HP's with a large HP cavity. I also have some 220g. Underwood HC and they seem fine. I ended up buying some 180g. HST's and 175g. Silvertips and they both seem fine. I have not been to the range with it yet, I have a shipment of Silvertips supposed to be delivered today. The S&B feeds fine in my G20, XDM, 2 1911's & M&P. I got an M&P when it first came out and the S&B was causing mag drops but I sold it off. I ended up getting another one a few months back and it has not caused any mag drops YET in a little under 100 rounds. |
| Took it to the range today and put ~50 of the S&B through it. Loaded the mags with 6 rounds at a time with no issues. Put ~50 Silvertips through it with the mags loaded to 15 with no issues either. Sucks that it won't run with just any ammo. It will be a keeper though. |
